Creating a UW NetID for Cascadia Students

If you need help with any of the instructions below, contact the Cascadia Help Desk for further assistance

1.  Set up your Cascadia Network Account.

  • Your Cascadia Network Account will provide access to your Cascadia Network file space and will allow you to create a UW NetID.
  • New Cascadia students must use Cascadia's remote virtual desktop service to create or manage a UW NetID with their Cascadia Network Account. Go to Accessing Your Cascadia Network Accounts and scroll down to the section titled "Remote Desktop (View) Access".
  • Note: you will need to wait 24 hours after registering for classes before you can create a UW NetID.

2.  Set up your UW NetID.

 

  • On the next screen near the bottom, click on "Sign in to Cascadia College".

  • At this point, you will see a new page to sign in to Cascadia College. If you do not know your sign in credentials, contact the Cascadia Help Desk.

  • Select “I don't have a UW NetID” and click “Next”
  • Select “Cascadia Student” and click “Next”
  • Enter your Cascadia network user name and password, then click "Login"
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to create a UW NetID and password. Each UW NetID is unique and permanent.

Note: It can take up to 24 hours for your UW NetID to grant you access to the library's room reservation system, electronic resources, and your library account. However, you can check out items at the Campus Library with your Cascadia student card and use library computers to access electronic resources by signing in with your Cascadia Network account. Also, library staff would be happy to reserve study rooms for you. For more information, Ask Us.

 

Changing or reseting your UW NetID Password

 Go to this UW-IT web page to change or reset your UW NetID (Network Identification) password.

Follow the prompts provided onscreen to enter your identifying information. For any further questions or concerns about this, please contact the UW-IT Service Center at 206-221-5000 or email help@uw.edu.
