About the video game collection

The video game collection at the Campus Library is comprised of Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo console games. The collection was originally funded through a one-time grant and a small donation from Microsoft. The collection is intended to fill the need for primary resource material for students researching games across academic disciplines.

The Media Center at the UW Seattle campus also has a growing collection of video games, films, music and spoken word titles, and other unique media items, which are available for check out. Consisting of over 100,000 items on a variety of analog and digital formats, the Media Center's collections cover a broad and interdisciplinary range of subjects and genres, including Streaming Video and the mediArcade collections.
