The Comparative Religion Program draws its faculty from departments and programs across campus in a long-standing tradition of interdisciplinary instruction. It is virtually unique in the United States in that it is located within a school of international studies.
The undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Religion, and a Master of Arts in Comparative Religion is offered on the graduate level. Doctoral-level study at the University of Washington is available through interdisciplinary programs in Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Asian Languages and Literature, and in other related departments such as Anthropology, Ethnomusicology, History, and Sociology.
