KBCS-FM is a listener supported, non-commercial, community radio station, operated as a public service of Bellevue Community College. It is the only non-commercial community radio station in the Seattle metro market.
Operated by KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio (PSPR) and is a service of the University of Washington. KUOW is a founding member of NPR; an affiliate of Public Radio International (PRI), American Public Media (APM), Public Radio Exchange (PRX), and the Northwest News Network (N3); and a member of the Associated Press (AP).
Land Acknowledgment: The University of Washington Bothell & Cascadia College Campus Library occupies Land that has been inhabited by Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial. Specifically, this campus is located on Sammamish Land from which settler colonists forcibly removed Coast Salish Peoples to reservations in the mid-19th century. Today, descendants of the Sammamish are members of several Coast Salish communities.
