Browsing for German Books in UW Libraries

To find resources in German, use UW Libraries Search.

  • Do a keyword search for a topic you are interested in.
  • "Refine My Results" to Language: German.

It's not easy to browse the shelves of our collections because we have so much!  We recommend using UW Libraries Search, finding a few call numbers, and then browsing those specific areas.

Most German-language resources are in Suzzallo Allen Libraries. If you want to go straight to the shelves, German literature (novels, poetry, literary criticism) can be found at PT1 - PT5000. Children's books are PZ31 - PZ38.
