How to Find Books & More

Enter search terms in the purple search box above and click Search to find books and other media. Use the filters in the left sidebar to limit by resource type (for example, Print Books), library (for example, UW Bothell/CCC Library), and more.

When searching for materials on education and related topics

  • Try a keyword search and add relevant phrases (e.g. elementary education or secondary education).
  • Use the limits along the left sidebar of your search results to narrow your results to relevant authors, formats, etc.
  • Comprehensive reviews of the scholarly literature in a particular field of educational research are available. Try searching for a specific topic (e.g. multicultural education) and adding the keywords handbook and research to locate these resources.

Once you find an available item, write down the call number and location (library maps are available here):

For eBooks, click on the View It button, then the link provided, in order to access the resource:

If the Campus Library doesn't have what you need, you can request to have materials delivered to Bothell from the UW Libraries or other libraries around the world.

If you need help finding books, don't hesitate to ask us!

Finding Books in Education

There are different types of resources in education that are available from both the Campus Library and the UW Libraries. They include books in the general collection (stacks), curriculum materials and children's literature. Please see the tabs above for information on how to search for Curriculum Materials and Children's Literature.

Finding Dissertations & Theses

Many dissertations and theses are available in full-text online via ProQuest, linked below. If not available online, you can request a copy via Interlibrary Loan, and depending on where the item is coming from, it should arrive within 2-3 weeks.
