FAQs

Commonly asked questions from Health Sciences Library users.

Are there mobile health apps available in library resources?

HSL offers access to many mobile resources that you can access with your phone or mobile device. Two popular resources are UptoDate and DynaMed, but a more complete list is here: http://guides.lib.uw.edu/hsl/mobile.

UpToDate example:

  1. Go to the App Store / Playstore and download the free app onto your phone.
  2. Then, on your computer, go to the HSL website, and log into UptoDate. Register for a free account.
  3. Go back to your device - you should be able to access UptoDate on your phone via your personal account.
  4. Please note that you will need to verify your UW affiliation every 90 days. Instructions for doing so are at the bottom of page two of this guide: http://media.hsl.washington.edu/media/uptodate/UTDAnywhereSignup.pdf.
