Information on searching, accessing, and using e-books at the UW Libraries

Tips for Instructors

E-books from the UW collection can be used as primary and/ or supplemental material for classes, with the following pointers:
- E-books cannot be placed on Course Reserve or reserved for individual classes
  - This means it cannot be restricted to one class only
  - For more information, review the Course Materials FAQ page
- If using an e-book for class, ensure that the e-book allows for multiple or unlimited simultaneous users
  - Most e-books will display their user limit in the record
  - For more information, review the Access & Use Limits Chart
- When using e-books for your course, provide links for the materials via your Canvas page by using the permalink found within UW Library Search
