K-Contents: Transmedia

Film adaptation of original novels has been around for a long time, but these days, it has become a trend to produce one content into various media. Currently Korean contents industry officials and researchers use a term transmedia, transmedia content, and transmedia storytelling for refer to this cultural trend. In particular, the Webtoons and Web novels market have begun to receive great attention because the possibility of their contents expansion like drama has been confirmed. They have a value in that they can test the marketability of animations, movies, dramas and games that are relatively risky.
