Citing code | Academic Integrity at MIT
From the "Writing Code" section of the MIT Academic Integrity handbook, a few good guidelines about citing code.
Zenodo | for citing code from Github
Zenodo, an open source, is a data archiving tool that will copy content from Github's repository and assign the archive a persistent DOI (digital object identifier). The DOI can then be used when creating citations for academic papers.

Specifically, this campus is located on Sammamish Land from which settler colonists forcibly removed Coast Salish Peoples to reservations in the mid-19th century. Today, descendants of the Sammamish are members of several Coast Salish communities.
