Quick Introductions to the UW Libraries

TO-DO SOON

HOW I CAN HELP

  • Meet with you one-on-one via Zoom to discuss your research. Just email me at mkstew@uw.edu to set up a time.
  • Recommend the best databases to search for your research topic.
  • Purchase current books that you need.
  • Help track down resources.
  • Connect you with services available through the UW Libraries.

OTHER HELP

TO-DO LATER

  • Get your Seattle & King County public library cards. They have streaming video & ebooks & some historical resources that we don't have.

  • Help build the Libraries’ collections. Come across a new book that the library should acquire? Just email Morag at mkstew@uw.edu.

  • Reserve a research carrel for the quarter by contacting Library Account Services

  • Make an appointment with the Graduate Funding Information Service (GFIS) advisor to learn about funding opportunities.

  • Present a lightening talk on your research at the quarterly Scholar’s Studio.

  • Attend a library event (film, lecture, karaoke?) or visit a library exhibit (Magick and Mystery: Exploring the Supernatural now up in Special Collections through Winter quarter).

  • Take time out and visit the Suzzallo Reading Room located on the 3rd floor of Suzzallo Library.
