The Atlantic digital edition is now available for all current UW and Cascadia College students, staff and faculty via the UW Libraries campus-wide subscription.

Sign-in to The Atlantic 

To Access TheAtlantic.com:

  1. Go to The Atlantic's sign-in page 
  2. Find University of Washington and click Continue
  3. Enter your UW NetID and password
  4. You will be asked to provide some personal information, but YOU MAY SKIP this part and proceed directly to theatlantic.com. 
  5. You are now behind the paywall at theatlantic.com
    You should only need to do this once as long as you don't clear your browser.
    If you clear it or get disconnected, simply go back to the sign-in page and follow steps 1-5.

TheAtlantic.com Digital Archive

Content Coverage:

  • 1857 to present 

Access:

  • After logging in to theatlantic.com, open the menu in the upper left
  • Choose "Explore The Atlantic Archive."
  • Use keywords to search for articles on a topic or by a specific author.
  • Scroll down further on the page to browse by issues (choose "All Issues" and then select a decade).
  • Once in an issue, you can read specific articles. Once in an article there is also an option to view the story as a pdf facsimile.
