How to find books

Use UW Library search to find books and other physical materials at UW Libraries and Summit. This is a useful option when you don't want to see journal articles in your search results.

1. Enter the title or search terms you are looking for in the search box on the UW Libraries homepage.

2. Use the drop-down at the top of the results list to select either "UW Libraries + Summit" or "UW Libraries"

3. If you only want to see books, go to the side bar under "Resources" and select "Print book" and/or "E-Book", then select "Apply Filter".

Additionally, if the book you are looking for is not available through UW or Summit Libraries, you can request it through InterLibrary Loan (ILL)

a. You will see this instead of "Available" or "Check Request Options - Held by Summit Libraries".

b. Click on your resource and scroll down to the "Get It" section

c. Click on this button to open your InterLibrary Loan account. Resource information should automatically appear in form.
