Citation Trail

This feature helps you find related materials by linking to citations related to a given article. You will access this feature using “References” in an item's full record. *Please note, in order to see the Citation Trail feature displayed you will need to log in to UW Libraries Search.

Clicking on “references” allows you to find sources either citing this item or cited in this item. Some articles also have citation counts from SciVerse Scopus (as seen below) and Web of Science.

Click on either the "citing this" button or the “cited in this” button to display a selection of sources. Please note that this feature does not provide complete lists of references or cited by items. Create a detailed trail by continually clicking "cited in/citing this" buttons. Your trail will be displayed on the top of the screen and clicking on any one of the displayed items will bring you back to that spot in your trail.
