Bob Nelson Collection of Folk Music: Kai Moore

A guide to the artists and recordings represented in the Bob Nelson Collection of Folk Music.

About Kai Moore

Kai Moore became a very popular folksinger, performing often at "The Catalyst" in Santa Cruz during the late 1960's and 1970's. She and her husband lived just north of Santa Cruz on ranchland, where they raised and cared for horses. She had many opportunities to go national, but chose not to do that.

What to listen for: When you first hear her amazing voice, you will be stunned. Her pitch is superb, her guitar work perfect, but it is her phrasing that captures the audience. I understand that she and her husband have passed away.
